Welcome to Lodge 49 at Stewarts Resort, a comfortable two-bedroom retreat just three miles from the heart of St Andrews. Perfect for families, couples, friends' groups and business travellers, this lodge sleeps up to four guests and offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway in Fife.
This thoughtfully designed lodge features two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine — practical amenities that make extended stays genuinely comfortable. The main bedroom includes a double bed with en-suite shower room, whilst the twin bedroom provides additional sleeping space. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience.
The open-plan lounge creates a welcoming space to gather, warmed by an electric fireplace on cooler evenings. The American-style kitchen is well-equipped with a gas cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and full kitchenware — everything needed for self-catering.
Step outside onto your private, fully enclosed decking with outdoor furniture. This secure, sheltered space offers complete privacy from neighbours and is ideal for families with children or guests travelling with dogs, as it's safe for pets to enjoy off-lead time.
Parking is straightforward with three spaces available — two private spaces at the lodge and additional parking next to the main building. Electric vehicle charging points are available on the resort.
During your stay, enjoy complimentary access to Stewarts Resort's excellent facilities, including a health spa with gym, sauna and steam room. The resort also features a bar and restaurant, nine-hole mini golf, children's play park and direct access to Cameron Reservoir via a designated footpath.
St Andrews is just three miles away, making this an ideal base for exploring the famous Old Course, historic cathedral and castle ruins, the medieval quarter and the beautiful two-mile stretch of West Sands beach. The charming East Neuk villages of Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie are within thirty minutes' drive, whilst Edinburgh is approximately ninety minutes away by car or train.
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome with a supplement. The lodge is non-smoking indoors, though smoking is permitted outside. Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out by 10 am. A damages deposit is pre-authorised before arrival and released within 72 hours of departure if no damage has occurred. Please respect the quiet hours policy after 10 pm to ensure all guests enjoy their stay.

Where most self-catering lodges settle for beige, this one has some confidence about it — traditional Scottish warmth combined with bold contemporary decor, so it feels like somewhere with a personality rather than a room you're passing through. Open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with an electric fire for cooler evenings, a television and Wi-Fi throughout.
The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with a fridge, freezer, hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and a countertop dishwasher — the last of which quietly makes a week here easier than it would otherwise be.

Worth knowing before you book: the en-suite has a toilet and basin but no shower, so all four guests share the walk-in shower in the family bathroom. It's not usually an issue for four, but if separate shower rooms matter to you, several of our other lodges have them and we're happy to point you to the right one.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside
Private, fully enclosed decking with outdoor furniture — somewhere secure for a dog to be off the lead, and private enough to sit out with a coffee without feeling overlooked. The resort's landscaped gardens are on your doorstep for a wander beyond that.

Where you are
Stewarts Resort sits in landscaped grounds and woodland with a designated footpath down to Cameron Reservoir.
This is one of the easier lodges to enjoy without a car. The bus stops directly at the resort gates and runs hourly into St Andrews, which puts the Old Course and the links, the cathedral and castle ruins, the university quarter, the shops and two miles of beach at West Sands all within reach for the price of a ticket. From St Andrews, buses run on down the coast through the East Neuk to Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie, so a day of harbour-hopping needs no driving at all. Leuchars station is a short hop away, with trains to Dundee in twenty minutes and Edinburgh in a little over an hour.
If you are driving, everything above is closer still, and Kingsbarns Distillery and the beaches south of St Andrews are easy afternoons.

There is a strict no-noise policy after 10 pm, so please be considerate of your neighbours. A damages deposit is pre-authorised before arrival and released 72 hours after departure, provided no damage has been caused.

Guests have free use of the resort's health spa, gym, sauna and steam room. Please note this lodge does not have a hot tub — but it does have a proper bath, which for a long soak after a cold day on the coast some guests prefer.

An open, modern kitchen, dining and lounge area with a dining table and chairs, ample seating, an electric fire and patio doors leading straight onto the deck. Free Wi-Fi throughout.
The kitchen is one of the best equipped in our portfolio: a spacious fridge-freezer, gas cooker with grill and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. Having both a dishwasher and a washing machine makes a full week here considerably easier than it would otherwise be.

Where you are
Stewarts Resort sits in countryside with a designated footpath down to Cameron Reservoir.
Autumn and winter are quietly the best time to have this part of Fife to yourself, and this is a good lodge for it. The beaches that are busy in August are empty by October — West Sands stretching two miles with nobody on it, Kingsbarns backed by dunes with the wind coming straight off the North Sea. The East Neuk harbours at Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie are working villages rather than holiday ones, so they carry on regardless of season, and the pubs are warmer for it. On a wild day the coast path between St Monans and Elie is worth doing just for the sea state.
Then you come back, put the washing on, run a bath and sit in front of the fire. St Andrews is three and a half miles away with an hourly bus from the front of the resort — the Old Course and the links, the cathedral and castle ruins, the university quarter and the shops. Edinburgh is around an hour and a half by car or train.
