Description
A luxury lodge with a sunken hot tub on extended, fully enclosed decking and a separate utility room, set within 170 acres of landscaped grounds and woodland at Stewarts Resort, three and a half miles from St Andrews. Sleeping up to six across a king-size master with an upgraded mattress, a twin and a versatile snug, with an island kitchen. The enclosed deck and utility room make it one of our best-equipped lodges for travelling with a dog, and guests have free use of the resort's health spa, gym, sauna and steam room.
Inside
Generous open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, with an electric fire for cooler evenings and plenty of room for six without anyone feeling on top of each other.
Built for social dining, the kitchen combines a large island and American-style fridge freezer with an open design that keeps the designated chef connected to the group.
The Snug, located off the main lounge, can be closed off for use as a study, quiet den, playroom, or third bedroom equipped with a small double sofa bed. (Note: Sofa bed linen and towels must be requested in advance; a small hire fee applies).
There's also a separate utility room, the perfect place for wet coats and muddy boots to go after a walk on the coastal path, where you dry the dog off before he gets anywhere near the sofa, and where the sandy towels from West Sands live.

The decking has been extended, with the hot tub sunk into it for privacy, and the whole area is fully enclosed — safe for young children, and somewhere your dog can be off the lead while you sit out with a drink.
Private parking for two cars at the lodge, with additional parking next to the main building if you need it. EV charging points available on the resort.
Where you are
Stewarts Resort sits in over 170 acres of landscaped grounds and woodland, with a designated footpath leading down to Cameron Reservoir from the resort.
For golfers, the position is close to ideal — several quality courses lie within twenty minutes of the resort. The St Andrews links are three and a half miles away, including the Old Course, the New, the Jubilee and the Castle Course. Kingsbarns is a short drive down the coast, Crail Golfing Society's Balcomie Links sits right on the water at the tip of the East Neuk, and Elie and Lundin Links are both within easy reach. Coming back to a hot tub and an upgraded mattress after thirty-six holes is not the worst arrangement.
For everyone else, St Andrews is minutes away with an hourly bus from the front of the resort — the cathedral and castle ruins, the university quarter, independent shops and two miles of beach at West Sands. The East Neuk villages of Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and Elie are strung along the coast within half an hour of each other, and Edinburgh is around an hour and a half by car or train.
Good to know
Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 10 am. Up to two small dogs are welcome, with a supplement. The lodge is non-smoking inside; smoking is permitted outside, and we ask that you dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. Parking is for two cars at the lodge; any additional vehicles can use the parking next to the main building. Please charge electric vehicles at the resort's commercial charging point rather than using the lodge's own supply. Glass tumblers and bottles aren't allowed in the hot tub, so please use plastic. There is a strict no-noise policy after 10 pm, so please be considerate of your neighbours. A damages deposit is pre-authorised before arrival and released 72 hours after departure, provided no damage has been caused.

A contemporary two-bedroom self-catering lodge with its own sunken hot tub, set within Stewarts Resort just 3.5 miles from St Andrews. Sleeping four, with a private enclosed deck and unlimited use of the resort's health spa, it's an easy base for golf, the East Neuk coast and the beaches of West Sands.
Inside
The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is designed for evenings in after a day out, with a corner sofa, dining table and television. Patio doors lead straight onto the deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle.
The master bedroom has a double bed, ample wardrobe space, and an en-suite toilet and washbasin. The second bedroom has two single beds. The family bathroom has a separate shower enclosure, toilet and wash hand basin.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own towels for the hot tub.
Outside
Your private, fully enclosed deck has a hot tub integrated into the decking, with jet controls and underwater lighting — glass isn't permitted in the tub, so please use plastic. Outdoor furniture is available for warmer evenings, and there's private parking for two cars.
